Volunteer Opportunities

Foster Parents
We are a home based shelter. We are always in need of loving, temporary homes for cats and dogs. Supplies provided.

Volunteer Orientation Dates

Orientations for new volunteers and foster parents are scheduled an ‘as needed’ basis. New volunteers and foster parents will be notified by email when an orientation is scheduled.

Special Events

Help out at adoption events, clinics, offsite booths and fundraisers.

Thrift Shop

We are in need of volunteers to staff our Second Chances Thrift Shop as well as sort and price items.

Fundraising

We need help planning and executing fundraising events as well as soliciting donations.

Maintenance

Handy? We can always use help at the dog park and around the facility.

Community Service Hours

Yes! We accept volunteers in need of community service hours.

Children Volunteers

The minimum age to volunteer is 16.
Kids under the age of 16 can help out by collecting donations at their school, sports team, scouting, troop, church or birthday party. View our wishlist! They can also help by decorating “pet rocks” to help us raise donations at Cornyval.
